Your New Smile Starts Here:

At First Impressions Denture Clinic, we believe your smile should be as unique as you are. That's why we invite you to start your journey with a free, no-obligation consultation, where we can discuss your needs in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

We want you to feel fully informed and confident every step of the way.

Kelly our qualified Clinical Dental Technician will personally oversee every step of your care. She will guide you from the very first initial consultation to the final fit and review appointments. The dentures are constructed by Kelly in the on-site laboratory. Because we design and handcraft everything under one roof, we can take the extra time needed to guarantee exceptional quality and a personalised experience tailored just for you.

Our commitment to you doesn't end when you walk out the door either; we pride ourselves on a thorough and dedicated aftercare service to ensure your dentures remain functional, secure and comfortable.

If you have any natural teeth remaining, or dental implants, a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) can only provide partial dentures with a prescription referral letter from a dentist.

Not registered with a dentist? Don’t worry. First Impressions Denture Clinic partners with trusted local dentists who can offer an oral health check-up and provide the required paperwork.

Alternatively, you can come in and we can provide a referral form which you can ask your own dentist to sign. If you haven’t had a check-up in a while, they may need to see you first.

New Dentures- The Journey

A well fitting set of dentures can completely transform your confidence, improve your speech and let you enjoy the foods you love again.

To get started, we provide a completely free, no obligation initial consultation to discuss your options.

If you have any of your natural teeth remaining, or implants, you will need to see a dentist for an oral health examination  before we begin making your new teeth. This can be arranged for you through our clinic.

Your Denture Journey:

Crafting well fitting, stable and retentive dentures is a precise process and requires a series of appointments to ensure the the best outcome for the patient.

1. Your Consultation & Treatment Plan

Your journey begins with a complimentary consultation designed entirely around you. We believe in taking the time you need to feel completely confident and informed about your choices. You will initially need to complete a medical history form, and we can then begin the consultation in our dedicated denture clinic to assess your denture requirements. During this visit, Kelly your Clinical Dental Technician will provide an examination and thorough assessment of your current or previous dentures, to understand what has worked for you and what we can improve.  Together, we  will walk through every available option, discussing any limitations of treatment, ensuring you leave with a clear, honest and thorough understanding of the next steps.

Following the consultation we will create a comprehensive treatment plan for you. This document will provide you with a step by step guide of your upcoming appointments, estimated time frames and a fully transparent breakdown of all costs involved, giving you all the information required to make a decision in your own time.

2. Initial Impressions

Kelly our Clinical Dental Technician will either take an impression or digital scan of your mouth. This provides us with an accurate map of your oral cavity. From this model we manufacture bespoke, custom made 'special trays' in our in house laboratory. These will be tailored specifically to the unique shape of your mouth and will be used to obtain a functional impression at your next visit.

3. Secondary Impressions

Using the made to measure tray, we take a second, highly detailed impression. This is taken to capture the fine details of your gum tissues and muscle movements.  By capturing how your mouth moves naturally, we ensure your dentures will stay stable and secure when eating and speaking. We will then used these models to craft custom wax bite blocks for your next appointment

4. Bite Registration and shade selection

At this stage we measure and record three essential things to create the perfect dentures:

-Your Natural Jaw Alignment: ensuring your upper and lower jaws meet comfortably without muscle strain
-The Right Height: making sure your new teeth are the correct height, keeping your facial features looking naturally balanced                   -The Smile Line: marking exactly where your teeth should sit and how much of your teeth show when you laugh or smile.

These wax blocks are then used to create your trial denture along with the selected shade of teeth

5.The 'Trial" fitting

Before finalising your dentures, we create a temporary wax version with your actual teeth in place. You will try these in the mirror to check the shape, tooth colour and your smile line. Because the teeth are temporarily set in wax we can adjust anything you like at this stage, until you are 100% satisfied with how they look and feel.

6. Final Delivery

Your final dentures are fitted. We do a final check of your bite, ensuring the fit is secure, comfortable and stable. Before you leave we will walk you through comprehensive denture hygiene and maintenance instructions, giving you all the tools and knowledge you need to care for your new smile at home.

7. The Review

We warmly encourage all our clients to come back for a complimentary review appointment one week later. This allows us to assess how your mouth is adapting, check the comfort and function during speaking and eating, and make any final adjustments to ensure your long term comfort.
